Trivandrum International Airport’s Terminal 2 is an ongoing development aimed at creating a modern, efficient, and visually impactful gateway for both domestic and international travelers. The terminal is designed to offer seamless functionality while reflecting the architectural character and climatic needs of the region.
The façade consultancy scope includes the complete design and engineering of the building envelope, comprising inclined and vertical curtain walls, vestibule glazing, apron-level glazing and cladding, skylights, and fixed link bridges. These systems are carefully integrated to ensure structural integrity, thermal performance, and architectural continuity. Emphasis is placed on optimizing natural daylight, minimizing energy consumption, and enhancing passenger comfort through high-performance façade solutions.
An integral part of the design includes the facade access system, which has been thoughtfully planned and coordinated to ensure safe and efficient maintenance of all external façade surfaces, including high-level glazing and complex geometries.
The consultancy services involve system detailing, material selection, structural and thermal performance analysis, and close coordination with architectural and structural teams to ensure constructability, performance, and compliance with relevant codes and airport standards.
Through a comprehensive and collaborative approach, the façade systems are being developed to meet the operational, aesthetic, and environmental goals of this landmark terminal project.
